报告摘要

Plastic AMOLED displays are of increasing attention recently for mobile applications. The TFT backplane on polyimide (PI) substrates are widely used for smartphone displays. We developed a nonlaser detach process of PI substrate from carrier glass by using a GO/CNT buffer which is being used for highly robust oxide TFTs and TFT circuits in our lab [1]. The bulk accumulation oxide TFTs exhibiting both high on-currents and uniform threshold voltage can be applied to high resolution displays and high speed TFT circuits [2]. In this talk I will discuss our recent research results on TFTs and TFT circuits on PI substrates. We have also developed highly robust TFTs using TFTs in neutral plane [3] and high mobility a-IGZO TFTs on PI substrate by introducing top interface engineering [4,5]. The performance, electrical stability and mechanical stability will be introduced.

报告人简介

Jin Jang is a Professor at Department of Information Display of Kyung Hee University. His current research programs are in oxide and LTPS TFTs for displays, TFT circuits and TFT application to sensors, QLED and flexible AMOLED. He developed world 1st full color TFT-LCD on plastic, Flexible AMOLED, Transparent AMOLED, 3D AMLCD with wire-grid polarizers which were presented at the SID Conference. He is the author or co-author of over 900 technical publications of which over 500 are in SCI Journals such as APL, IEEE EDL, Nature, Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, Advanced Energy Materials, Energy Environmental Science, and IEEE TED. He is currently a Director of Advanced Display Research Center (ADRC), and had served as Program Chair of SID Symposium 2007 and General Chair of SID Display Week in 2009 and General Chair of IMID 2012, 2013. He is a Fellow of SID. He was awarded George Smith Award from IEEE in 2012 and Slotto Owaki Prize from SID in 2015.
